Lobotomized
Jai stopped by last night and we drank a few of these with Kababs from Shalimar and watched Valley Of Elah. Tricia was out fusing glass with Victoria. Yes, really.
This smooth rich dark southern German dobblebock is an Indian Wells Brewing Co. favorite. This 10.8% beer is powerful and easy to drink! This beer is not for the timid. A few of them and you’ll feel like you’ve had a frontal lobotomy the next day.

Apple Juice @ Guidewire
Last week kids were invited to our weekly social "Thirsty Thursday". Eve met Semira, Vijeyta, Troy and Dan from my team. We then walked around the floor introducing her to people.
After a while I we hung out with my colleagues and I grabbed a dark beer. So I gave Eve an apple juice to drink while she watched the other kids who were much younger than her. She just walked around watching everyone.
We headed home around 8pm for her bed time. She told me she had a great time and that she wants to work at Guidewire. I explained labor laws and that Moddy our HR manager would be in a great deal of trouble if we hired her.
You would think this is the end to a very ho-hum blog post. Nope.
So the next morning, I was getting ready for work and Eve walks up to me and asks me where I'm going. I know that she knows, so I ask her where she thinks I'm going. So here is a transcript of the conversation:
E: Baba, are you wearing pants?
A: Ummm... what do you think?
E: Yes, black pants.
E. Baba, are you wearing a shirt?
A: You tell me.
E: Yes, I think it's probably a blue shirt.
(She likes words like probably and possibly)
A: Spot on baby.
E: Where are you going baba?
A: (Testing her vocabulary skills) Where do YOU think I'm going?
E: GUIDEWAAYAH (Her way of saying Guidewire)
A: Good girl. You know where baba works.
E: Who will you meet at GUIDEWAAYAH?
A: You've met some of my colleaques. So, do you know who I'll meet?
E: Paul
A: And?
E: Scott
A: And?
E: Dan
A: And?
E: EVE! (very triumphantly)
A: Remember how we discussed that Moddy would get upset if you work before you're 3?
E: Yes
E: What are you going to do today?
A: I will write a bunch of smoke tests to test out this feature I've been building. You understand?
E: Yes (Nods very sagely)
E: Baba, what else will you do today?
A: What do you think I'll do?
E: Drink apple juice with a straw (Continues to nod very sagely)
A: Ah drink apple juice... (Gets all introspective)
E: And beer
A: I'm not sure if my team will appreciate me drinking at 8am
E: Not drink beer?
A: No baby. No beer so early. Do you want beer for breakfast? Maybe in your cereal?
E: Nooo. Beer is not for babies. (And scowls at me)
A: Ah ok, milk then?
E: I want milk in my cereal.
A: Ok, lets go then...
(End Act 1: Scene 2)
