Breakfast At Tiffany's

Tiffany's. Audrey. So many girls' dreams.
My mom used to go to Tiffany's. I used to hate being dragged for anything that resembled shopping of any sort. Now it's it's just nostalgic. Isn't it sad that someone has to pass away before a memory becomes precious. What does that say about us? About me? Uninvolved? I certainly hope not.
The Burlingame Moms Club hosted a "Breakfast At Tiffany's" event today. Tricia was just iffy about it, but when I saw the little blue invitation card, I really wanted to take her there.
Come Sunday morning, she dressed up, we dropped Eve with Aisha and headed over to the city. We parked next to the Macy's and walked over to Tiffany's.
There was the ubiquitous bouncer in a well tailored suit who checked if we were on the list. Let us in and we walked into my old memories. This was nice. A few Mimosas, cookies and scones later, Tricia saw so many things that she loved and some that were just hideous.
Tricia created a little which list, that grew and grew till I was shaking in the shoes I stood in.
This was a good way to spend a morning. Reminiscing. We crossed the street to grab a cup of tea, in the square. Janet and her friend joined us for a few minutes. We looked at our watches, and walked back to our car to return to the life of full time parents.
And yes, to make this even better, we went to our favorite Indian restaurant outside India. Pakwan. If you haven't been there. Go try out the delicacies of the frontier region of India. The part near the border with Pakistan.
