Fall
October has been great for us. I have had no travel what so ever AND the weather has been awesome. We have had the days that Frost referred to as "crisp". The bay area's microclimate continues to amaze me.
The leaves are golden and red getting ready for winter. The nights are getting colder, while the day stays warm. I've had busy days at work while refactoring the way we had been working. That has been taking a lot of time, effort and planning. I can see it slowly paying off. Of course it's the long run that I am interested in not the short sprints.
At the cost of repeating myself, October has been great. We went to 3 halloween parties and also went trick or treating with Eve. She likes to lick them pumpkins fer sure. ;) It good to see her exploring and trying to figure things out.
Every morning I wake up and take Eve to the living room while I eat breakfast, iron my clothes, then off to bathroom to brush, shower and get ready for the day. She spends the time on the floor or standing by the edge of the tub talking to me while I get about getting ready. Its quite fun to spend a few minutes alone with her. Plus I will be heading off in a few days to London... and yeah, it's England this time not Ontario, Canada like in July.
At Eve's school halloween party the three of us went in themed costumes. Eve was a bumble bee, Tricia was a flower and I was a bee keeper. People loved the costumes and we had a lot of pictures taken of us. What this better than my "slightly coudy with a chance of rain" costume? You betcha!
I just found out that as soon as I return from England, I will be heading to Australia and Russia will be soon after. Each trip will last 3-4 weeks. Yeah it's a long time to be away from Trish/Eve, but I will try to take them with me to Australia so we can catch up with our friends.
We are also looking for baby sitters so Trish and I can go out off and on as well as try to make sure that Trish has some time to get her Discovery Toys idea going at full throttle. But that is another story for another time.
