Slackers

The last real post we had here was more than 2 months back. Both Trish and I have been very busy. We moved to San Mateo, lock, stock and the freakin' computer table. After a few days at the hotel where Eve was getting quite sick (I suspect mold), we found a nice little apartment only 5 block from my office. A nice walk, not quite long enough, but nice none the less.

Trish has been busy playing the homemaker, by walking into any store... any store, and saying, wouldn't this look nice on our table/bed/wall/floor? I have to drag her away kicking and screaming.

We have some furniture at home that we are happy with and a couple of pieces that we will toss as soon as we find a good replacement.

Tricia's mom gave us an awesome painting, which we used to choose colors for our living room. We had some other paintings that we bought in Bali, which matched quite nicely. We went with a nice looking and comfortable futon like convertible for the living room since we expect so many guests over the next 6 months.

What we really like about living here is how close we are to everything. Stores, restaurants, parks etc. Plus we aren't your typical suburban people. This place has more of a downtown feel and that is what we have always liked. When we lived in Portland, Sydney & Bombay we liked the same feel.

So after a couple of months of slacking off with our website, we are back. New domain, new email address... all shiny and new. Wanna peel off the shrink wrap? We will get back to documenting every mediocre event in our dull lives to make your's a little brighter. Especially now that our social lives are pretty much null.

Well, in the two months that we have lived here, Eve has learned how not to sleep through the night any more, how to roll over from front to back and back to front (mostly back to front), blow rasberries, grasp and reach for objects, and many more increasingly cute things.

We had an exciting week with my dad came to meet Eve. Trish spent time during the day taking him to see different places. They had quite a nice time and he really enjoyed getting to know Eve.

Coming up Trish's dad is going to bring down our car and stay for a short visit, my friend Jai will join us for the summer, Jan from Switzerland will visit with his friend for a week and Ashu P will drop by during a business trip. All in all, looks like the exciting times well continue!
